Abstract: With the advent of modern instruments and theories, a considerable amount of spectroscopic information has been collected on molecules during this last decade. The infrared, in particular, has seen extraordinary activity. Using Fourier transform interferometers and infrared lasers, accurate data have been measured often with extreme sensitivity. These data have also been analyzed and accurate molecular parameters determined. Volume II/20 "Molecular Constants mostly from Infrared Spectroscopy" is a recent Landolt-Börnstein publication series. It is made up of several subvolumes (A, B, C, D) with comprehensive compilation of critically evaluated molecular constants of diatomic (A), linear triatomic (B), other triatomic (C) and other polyatomic (D) molecules.

The present subvolume II/24A contains the general introduction and tables of rotational and centrifugal distortion constants of diamagnetic diatomic, linear and symmetric-top molecules, i.e. data which roughly specifies the frequencies of the rotational transitions of these types of rotors.

Abstract: Volume II/25 is a supplemented and revised edition of the preceding volumes II/7, II/15, II/21 and II/23 containing up to date information on inorganic and organic polyatomic molecules. All experimental methods for the determination of quantitative structural data of free molecules have been considered: microwave, infrared, Raman, electronic and photoelectron spectroscopy as well as electron diffraction. The data obtained by these methods have been critically evaluated and compiled. They are presented separately for each molecule, together with a schematic figure of the structure and the original literature.

Abstract: Some years after the publication of Vol. III/11 and its supplement III/18 dealing with elastic, piezoelectric, pyroelectric and optical properties of crystals, a complete recompilation of the data of these volumes and of new data was performed. Because of the growth of this subject matter it was found convenient to divide the material into four volumes, III/29a and b for the low frequency properties and III/30a and b for high frequency propertiesof dielectric crystals. The first subvolume III/29a contains exclusively second and higher order elastic constants including temperature and pressure coefficients.

Abstract: While vols. III/29 A, B (published in 1992 and 1993, respectively) contain the low frequency properties of dielectric crystals, in vol. III/30 the high frequency or optical properties are compiled. The present and first subvolume 30 A contains piezooptic and elastooptic constants, linear and quadratic electrooptic constants and their temperature coefficients, and relevant refractive indices. Subvolume 30 B will cover second and third order nonlinear optical susceptibilities. For the reader's convenience an alphabetical formula index and an alphabetical index of chemical, mineralogical and technical names for all substances of volumes 29 A, B and 30 A are included.

Abstract: This volume is a compilation of vapor–liquid equilibrium data on subcritical binary single-phase or two-phase liquid–liquid systems. All the components are well-defined pure substances, which are organic or inorganic nonelectrolytes, including low-melting ionic liquids and water. The present database contains numerical data for 3316 systems. The book reproduces in tables and graphs the numerical values for only 802 binary mixtures, chosen to be representative of all the compound classes and property types. The full set of data is given on the CD–ROM accompanying the book. Most data files contain experimental data compiled from the original literature published from 1929 to mid 2006. The CD-ROM displays all these data in PDF format and in fully documented computer readable standard electronic files (SELF and ELDATA). The ELBT-program allows the fast search of data according to property type, chemical system, author(s), source and year of publication. It also includes the bibliographical database of ELDATA, EVLM’2006, giving 13471 references from 1888 through mid 2006 to experimental vapor–liquid equilibrium in mixtures and solution.
