The spectroscopic information collected in this volume has been obtained principally from gas phase microwave measurements. Volume II/24 is a supplement to volumes II/4, II/6, II/14, and II/19 and is planned to appear in five subvolumes, the last of which will contain the substance index taking into account all molecules worked at since 1967 in the volumes mentioned and will provide cross references to and between all tables of these. The present subvolume II/24A contains the general introduction and tables of rotational and centrifugal distortion constants of diamagnetic diatomic, linear and symmetric-top molecules, i.e. data which roughly specifies the frequencies of the rotational transitions of these types of rotors.

Abstract: Volume II/25 is a supplemented and revised edition of the preceding volumes II/7, II/15, II/21 and II/23 containing up to date information on inorganic and organic polyatomic molecules. All experimental methods for the determination of quantitative structural data of free molecules have been considered: microwave, infrared, Raman, electronic and photoelectron spectroscopy as well as electron diffraction. The data obtained by these methods have been critically evaluated and compiled. They are presented separately for each molecule, together with a schematic figure of the structure and the original literature.

Abstract: Volume III/31 continues the compilation of nuclear quadrupole resonance spectroscopy data of solid substances which started in with volume III/20 in 1987 covering the literature from the beginning of nuclear quadrupole resonance spectroscopy in 1951 to 1982 and containing the data for 8000 substances in the solid state, distributed among three subvolumes III/20 a, b, and c. Volume III/31 covers the literature published in the period from the end of 1982 through the end of 1989. Included are the data for substances studied for the first time, as well as data for substances already present in the previous volume III/20 if the data published there could be completed or improved by new studies. In total there are 2500 substances in volume III/31, showing the scope and significance of nuclear quadrupole resonance spectroscopy up to recent times.

Abstract: Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) is based on the fact that certain nuclei exhibit a magnetic moment, oriented by a magnetic field, and absorb characteristic frequencies in the radiofrequency part of the spectrum. The spectral lines of the nuclei are highly influenced by the chemical environment, i.e. the structure and interaction of the molecules. NMR is now the leading technique and a powerful tool for the investigation of the structure and interaction of molecules. The present Landolt-Börnstein volume III/35 "Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Data" is therefore of major interest to all scientists and engineers who intend to use NMR to study the structure and the binding of molecules. Volume III/35 ''NMR-Data'' is divided into several subvolumes and parts. Subvolume III/35A contains the nuclei B-11 and P-31, subvolume III/35B contains the nuclei F-19 and N-15, subvolume III/35C contains the nucleus H-1, subvolume III/35D contains the nucleus C-13, subvolume III/35E contains the nucleus O-17, subvolume III/35F contains the nucleus Si-29, and subvolume III/35G contains the nucleus Se-77. Abstract: Surface Science is understood as a relatively young scientific discipline, concerned with the physical and chemical properties of and phenomena on clean and covered solid surfaces, studied under a variety of conditions. Abstract: Volume 43 of Group III deals with crystallographic data of both intermetallic and classical inorganic compounds, thus forming an update of the former Landolt-Börnstein volumes III/6 (Structure Data of Elements and Intermetallic Phases) and III/7 (Crystal Structure Data of Inorganic Compounds). It does not include compounds that contain C-H bonds. Moreover, in contrast to the earlier edition the present volume presents the data in a different, more modern arrangement - known crystal structures are combined in groups according to their type of structure; each structure type is therefore represented by a complete set of crystallographic data holding for all isotypic structures, with the data comprising space group, cell parameters and atom coordinates. Remarks, descriptions and figures are provided where necessary. The present subvolume A1, which utilizes the databases TYPIX and Pauling File, forms the first contribution to volume 43, which is going to be published in a series of subvolumes.

Abstract: This volume is a compilation of vapor–liquid equilibrium data on subcritical binary single-phase or two-phase liquid–liquid systems.
