Abstract: In volume III/21 an attempt is made to compile the reported data on superconducting materi-als, from the discovery of this phenomenon to the present day. The data comprise various modifications of a material, e.g. bulk state, thin films,implanted films, filamentary wires and others. Where available,data obtained under high pressure or after high energy particle irradia-tion are also tabulated. The goal of this volume is to establish a complete and reliable compilation of critically reviewed experimental data, excluding pure theoretical work. A particular effort was made to present not only superconducting data for a given substance, but also the complete characterization of the analysed sample. The large number of publications, more than 40,000 since 1913, requires a subdivision of the data in several subvolumes.

Abstract: Volume 43 of Group III deals with crystallographic data of both intermetallic and classical inorganic compounds, thus forming an update of the former Landolt-Börnstein volumes III/6 (Structure Data of Elements and Intermetallic Phases) and III/7 (Crystal Structure Data of Inorganic Compounds). It does not include compounds that contain C-H bonds. Moreover, in contrast to the earlier edition the present volume presents the data in a different, more modern arrangement - known crystal structures are combined in groups according to their type of structure; each structure type is therefore represented by a complete set of crystallographic data holding for all isotypic structures, with the data comprising space group, cell parameters and atom coordinates. Remarks, descriptions and figures are provided where necessary. The present subvolume A1, which utilizes the databases TYPIX and Pauling File, forms the first contribution to volume 43, which is going to be published in a series of subvolumes.

The book first presents a thorough overview of the field of electrochemistry, to impart a precise understanding of the involved systems, and secondly collects all relevant data of electrochemical systems as reported up to the present time. Phenomena and data are reported and considered from the constitutive viewpoints of electrochemistry, which also form the five chapters of Subvolume A: electrode potentials - cell voltages - electrode potentials of zero charge - free enthalpy of adsorption - exchange current densities. Each chapter opens with an introduction to its particular subject, and then presents the data in concise tables, arranged, as far as possible, according to the examined values.
